All Spruced Up layout (for BBTB2)
It's Christmas in July at BBTB2 this week! Here's another chance to get ahead on some Christmas cards or projects-even though it's hard to even imagine Christmas when it's hot outside...so I'm thinking myself cool and making my hubby listen to Christmas carols (he thinks I'm insane, lol!). I made a layout for pictures of us working on the Christmas tree last year. The title All Spruced Up is from the Winter Frolic cartridge. The image of the children carrying the Christmas tree is from one of my favorite cartridges, A Child's Year. The print paper is from the Echo Park This and That Christmas collection.

Fresh and Tasty layout (for Exploring Cricut)
Our challenge theme for Exploring Cricut this week is Down on the Farm-use a farm animal on a project. I made a layout for pictures of a family BBQ and added in some animals to represent the food. We had a huge feast of barbecued ribs and honey wings -it was delicious, in case you are wondering! I used the cow and barn from Create a Critter, along with the cute postage stamp shape for the journal box. The chicken is actually a layer from the weather vane on County Fair. The paper is from a collection called Farm Fresh by The Paper Studio.

Sun and Sand layout (for BBTB2)
My Design Team sister Caroline has chosen the beach as our challenge theme at BBTB2 this week! Makes me just want to go dig my toes in some sand, although that's in short supply here in the Midwest! I did find some pictures of us with our toes in the sand, however, from a trip to Florida a few years ago that I hadn't gotten around to putting in an album.
I used a couple of different cartridges for this layout. The font is from Life as a Beach, which does NOT have a shadow, so I cut the letters a second time in dark brown and offset them slightly to give a shadow effect. The sand castle is from Doodlecharms and the seahorse and shells are from Create a Critter.

There are great projects to look at over at BBTB2, so pretend you are sitting in the sand with some waves breaking over your toes and enjoy! We'd love to see your beachy themed project too :)

U R 2 Cool Dude! layout (for Exploring Cricut)
Today is my day for the daily project at Exploring Cricut! I took some great pictures of my guys gaming with some of their friends, which inspired my U R 2 Cool Dude layout. They have been having so much fun this summer playing! (We are kind of addicted to Lego Rock Band and the Wii Sports!) I used the Robotz font for the title and the game controller is from Boys Will Be Boys (it kind of looked like the Wii game controller...). The paper and stickers are some leftovers from the awesome My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy collection.

I have two posts today:
It's Monday on a brand new week and I have two posts today! To see my post for the BBTB2 ice cream challenge, scroll down one post. My post for the Exploring Cricut Christmas in July blog hop is just below. We are heading off to the big city of Chicago for vacation tomorrow for a week, so I am super excited for this week to get rolling! There are museums to see and shopping to be done!!!!! Noel card for Christmas in July (for Exploring Cricut)
