What's the buzz? layout (for BBTB2)

We have a bee challenge at BBTB2 this week…there are so many cricut bees to choose from that it took me a while to narrow it down which one to use!  Kind of like the owls last week-so hard to pick just one.  I settled on the bees and hive from the Pooh and Friends cartridge for my layout, which will have pictures of my teenagers with various school friends goofing around.  There is always an astounding amount of "buzz"with teens-high school appears to be a hotbed of gossip and drama!  Guess not much has changed in that regard since I was in high school.  My title font is from the Robotz cartridge and the Simple Stories print papers reminded me of a honeycomb.

As I'm slowly working through lots of Disney pictures, I decided to do a layout from one our character meals at the Crystal Palace at Disney World, where we got to eat lots of ice cream and meet Piglet and the other Pooh characters.  I used Pooh and Friends for the Piglet title, cake, and kite and the CM Cheerful Seasons cart for the ice cream cone.  I love that ice cream cone on Cheerful Seasons!

The great background papers are from an older line from Basic Grey called Life of the Party that I've been saving just for this project!  I chose the "Sky's the limit" stamp for a laugh, because one of the kids asked the waiter how tall he was allowed to make his cone:  answer-very tall!  Apparently Piglet likes ice cream too, because he pointed at the bowl and rubbed his tummy :)

The Crystal Palace (Disney layout)

This layout used the Pooh and Friends and Baby Steps cartridges to make a layout for the pictures of the Crystal Palace and getting an autograph from Pooh while we ate at Disney World.  The title font is from Baby Steps and all the other cuts are from the Pooh cart.  The paper is from the Basic Grey Life is a Party collection.  I'm going to link this to the Die Cuttin' Divas Anything Goes challenge this week-love those anything goes ones!!!!

San Angel Inn (Disney) layout

This layout is for some pictures we took while at Epcot's World Showcase last summer, where we ate lunch at the San Angel Inn in Mexico.  It was very interesting browsing in the different countries at Epcot.  In true Disney over the top fashion, the restaurant has a pyramid at nightfall with occasional storms, plus a boat ride that goes through the restaurant by the pyramid.  Lots to look at while eating-the kids were fascinated!  I used several carts on this layout, trying to re-create the look of the boat ride.

Spring layout (with Pooh and Friends)

It is spring here in the Midwest and so pretty!  All my tulips are in bloom!  (The downside is the pollen is ALSO in bloom or whatever pollen does...but I digress.)  We've been outside having fun a lot, so I made a layout for some of these pics using Pooh and Friends.   Between the springy paper colors and the cute Pooh characters I was definitely feeling high on happy (as my kids would say)!  Since I've been digging into my Disney carts for a bunch of layouts, I got inspired to use them on a non-Disney layout as well.

a bug's life-disney layout

Any Disney fans?  The Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom is amazing!  We marveled at all the animal carvings while going through the line to see the show It's a Bug's Life.  I got a great picture of my guys in the 3D bug goggles before the show!   I used the Best of Pixar cartridge to cut Flick, Dot, and the title (I'm loving the Disney carts!!!) and the Pooh and Friends cart to cut the tree, which was as close as I could come to the Tree of Life.    I did some white gel pen doodling on Flick and Dot along the cut lines to jazz them up.
