Ticket to Ride layout

Today is my day for the daily project at Exploring Cricut and it's all about roller coasters and summertime fun at the amusement park!  I used the Carousel Lite cartridge to cut the roller coaster and ticket booth.  My teen is from the Paper Doll Teen Scene cartridge and I gave him a cup of soda from Carousel.  (I could add some $$$ for all the concession money, lol-what a ripoff!)  All the tickets are also from Carousel.  I added the word RIDE to the tickets using the Mickey Font, along with the title.  My layout will have some pics on it from Disney and Universal Studios from earlier this year, since we braved all the big coasters (in spite of my better judgement…however, I survived so it's all good!).  My pictures are bright and colorful, so I wanted bright colorful papers-these Echo Park papers hit the spot.

Cricut:
Carousel-coaster cut 6 inches, tickets cut at 1 1/2 inches, ticket booth cut at 8 1/2 inches, cola cut at 1 1/2 inches
Teen Scene Paper Dolls-summer boy cut at 6 1/2 inches

Carnival Rides layout (for Exploring Cricut)

Today is my day for the daily project at Exploring Cricut!  Sorry I'm getting this up a little late!  Did you go to the carnival or county fair this summer?  Or maybe going to a fall festival with some rides?  If so, this layout is for you!  I can't resist snapping pics of my kids on the carnival rides.  It reminds me of carefree days when I was a girl, going to the Missouri State Fair!  My layout uses the Carousel Lite cartridge to document the fun!  The ticket booth, merry-go-round pony, and title are all from Carousel.  I added some embossing with my Swiss dots folder for some texture.  The colorful background paper is from TPC Studios.

Had to add some swiss dots for texture to the title

some more swiss dots on the horse-isn't that bg paper cool?

And the fun ticket booth cut (I should have added a little face peeping out....)

You could change up the color scheme to adapt this for a fall festival layout very easily, and go with yellow and orange.  Check back to see the daily goodness at Exploring Cricut each day-we want to inspire you to use your Cricut!

Movie Night layout (for Exploring Cricut)

Today is my day to show a daily project at Exploring Cricut!  I have a layout about the movies, inspired by this fun Karen Foster film reel background paper!  One of our favorite family traditions is movie night, where we all curl up in the living room to watch a movie together with popcorn and pizza (along with a fire in the winter).  It's super fun (we pick the movie from Netflix) and MUCH cheaper than the theater!  With a couple of kids, who can afford the theater these days?  Plus you can have much better snacks at home.

My layout is for some pics of a movie night with friends recently.   I cut the filmstrip from Mickey and Friends (also the star) and cut it in half diagonally to visually connect the two pages.  The popcorn and soda cuts are from the Carousel cartridge.  The font is my absolute favorite:  the Mickey Font.

You're the Sweetest card

I had paper and die cut leftovers from a layout that seemed like they should get used for something, so I made this card sort of on the fly last night!  I had a cotton candy cut from Carousel lying around, plus this great piece of background paper from the October Afternoon Midway collection to put together.  I added some ribbon so I could play along with the Craftin Desert Divas "use ribbon or twine" challenge, along with some little dots for the corners from My Mind's Eye that were also just lying around on my table (it's a disastrous mess, I tell you!).  So here is what it ended up:

Cricut:
Carousel-cotton candy
Paper-solids CTMH, print October Afternoon Midway collection
Ribbon-American Crafts
dots-My Mind's Eye
brown chalk ink
Stamp-from a Fiskars set called the The Sweet Life

The pics are not the best (kinda dark) because I took these at midnight, lol!  (I should seriously not be allowed to use a camera at that hour...and in bed, but since I am working nights this weekend I needed to stay up late to be able to stay awake tonight!)

Carousel layout

Another post with the Echo Park Everyday Eclectic paper!  (I loved it so much that I did three layouts with it right away-of course now I will go into hoarder mode and be afraid to use the rest because then it will be gone...)  Our zoo has a vintage carousel that they rescued from somewhere, with beautiful old fashioned animals and paintings all over it.  It is truly the most beautiful carousel I've ever seen!  We snapped some pics of us riding it on a zoo trip in June.  I cut the title and carousel from ...you guessed it....the Carousel lite cartridge!  I've always found the letters on this cart to be a bit tricky to cut and put together, but the font is so pretty when it's done that it's worth it!

I love Summer wall hanging

I had a blast making a fun decoration for my foyer and used a bunch of cartridges!   I saw something somewhere(?) with the six rectangles with little summer scenes that I really liked, so I scraplifted the idea for this.   Each rectangle features some of the fun things we as a family love about summertime.  My kids loved coming up with the ideas for the rectangles!  In fact, I might have to make a companion one, because they had more ideas than I had rectangles!

Cricut:
Doodlecharms-sun, popsicles, ice cream cone
Eveyyday Paperdolls-boat, bike, beach bag
CM Traveler-lawnchair, beach umbrella and ball, flip-flops, sunglasses, and drink

I'm linking this to the SOUS challenge I love Summertime that inspired my project.  I'm also going to link it to The Paper Variety challenge to make "anything BUT a card or layout".

Club Cool-Disney layout

Don't drink the Beverly-that's all the advice I have for anyone going to Club Cool in Epcot!  If you haven't been there, it is a drink station with Coke products from different countries around the world.  Some were tasty.  Others........well, not so much!  The Beverly (from Italy) was absolutely awful!  We had a hilarious time daring each other to try them all.  The cola cup is cut from Carousel, a lite cartridge.  The title is the Mickey font again (love that Mickey font!).

Be sure check out the 50 followers post and comment on your favorite cart or product!  I'm drawing on Saturday for the blog candy winner-a My Pink Stamper set called More Punny-licious, which is super cute!
