Hoppin' things are well card

This card is for a friend who is having a rough recovery from a recent surgery.  I bought this stamp last year from a sale bin somewhere and it's just been waiting for the right card to come along-it and the bunny from the Disney Classics cart were made to be together!  I did have to get the tweezers involved to get all the little pieces onto the bunny.  I have to keep reminding myself that images on any of the Disney carts are best cut at a larger size!!!!!

Cricut:

Paper-Purple cardstock is Echo Park Springtime, striped paper is from The Paper Studio All Seasons 1

I'm linking this to the SOUS challenge this week to use a bunny and to the Fantabulous Cricut challenge to use a "gentle animal" on a project.

Sweet Melody card

Quarter Note has proven to be a great cartridge for me-I keep going to it over and over again!  Son#1 was given a dulcimer and needed a thank you note.  I whipped out Quarter note and the My Pink Stamper set Music Speaks and had that card done in no time!

Spring layout (with Pooh and Friends)

It is spring here in the Midwest and so pretty!  All my tulips are in bloom!  (The downside is the pollen is ALSO in bloom or whatever pollen does...but I digress.)  We've been outside having fun a lot, so I made a layout for some of these pics using Pooh and Friends.   Between the springy paper colors and the cute Pooh characters I was definitely feeling high on happy (as my kids would say)!  Since I've been digging into my Disney carts for a bunch of layouts, I got inspired to use them on a non-Disney layout as well.

Edited to add:  Pooh, Tigger, and Roo each represent one of the kids romping outside (they will know which one they are :0)

Under construction card

Son#3 needed a thank you for a lego set he received, so I put this card together with some lego stickers I had left over from another project  that were in the stash.  They are really fun and look like actual legos!  The Under Construction stamp is from the My Pink Stamper set Boy Crazy.  I'm linking this to the Celebrate the Occasion challenge this week to make a thank you card.

flying high layout

Spring is in the air and so are trips to the park!   We spent a lovely early evening in March swinging at the park and shopping for some spring clothes (those darn kids keep outgrowing their clothes-what is up with that?), so I had fun doing a layout with more of the Echo Park A Boy's Life collection.  The title flying high is from 3 Birds on Parade-perfect for those action shots on the swings, since they were challenging each other to see who could go the highest.

Have a Blast card

Made this for Son#3, for a lunchbox card for him.  He loves to build rockets and spaceships with his legos, so he will really like this one, I think.  The rocket is from Boys Will Be Boys and the sentiments are from a My Pink Stamper set called Lunchbox Thoughts.  I'm linking it to the Paper Playtime challenge to make a guy card with a sentiment.

Rock & Roll layout

The challenge this week at Die Cuttin Divas is music!  I've had this layout in mind since I got the Echo Park It's A Boy's Life paper and saw the journal block with the guitar-perfect for pics of some Lego Rock Band action on the Wii.   We have pics of the family unleashing our inner arena rock stars that will go on here!  (Be very very grateful you don't have to hear us sing, because DS#2 is the only one who can sing worth a lick!)  I used Quarter Note for the musical instruments.

Magic Kingdom-Disney layout

Cinderella's castle is amazing to look at, both far away and up close.  I took some pictures outside and some of the murals inside.  I used Tink as an accent, since she flies down from the castle at night during the firework show.  The title is the Mickey Font.

Magical thank you card

Son#2 received some Harry Potter posters as a gift and needed to write a thank you card.  I immediately thought of the magician bird on 3 Birds on Parade, who kind of gives me that Harry Potter vibe.  The background paper is from Echo Park's A Boy's Life collection.   I'm happy to report he loved this card so much that I've been requested to make him another without a sentiment AND son#1 wants one too!

Norway-Disney layout

All the countries in Epcot were enormously fun to visit and the boys (including hubby) found themselves very amused in the gift shops.  For awhile I thought I would have to put ALL of them (including dad!) in time out, lol!  This layout is from Norway, where Viking gear and trolls were abundant in the gift shops.  I used the Mickey font for the title and used MyCutSearch to find a sword.  MyCutSearch (where you can type in the item you want to cut) showed several cricut carts have swords and I ended up using the sword on Happily Ever After.

love you to the core lunchbox mini card

My mom had challenged herself to make cards using her scraps.   I decided to see what I could come up with from my scraps lying around my table (am I the only person who doesn't clean off their workspace?) and this little mini card came together.  The apple is from the CM Cheerful Seasons cart and I truthfully have NO idea where I got this fruit themed stamp set for the sentiment, but it was right there on my table underneath all the scraps!   I'll be sending this to school in one of the kid's lunchboxes (or maybe hubby's).

All Aboard layout

Riding the ferry boat from our hotel to Downtown Disney was much more fun than taking the bus!  When I saw the sailboat paper in my Echo Park pack, I was ready to tackle these pics.  The paper is from the Echo Park Little Boy collection, with some stickers from their It's a Boy's Life added on.  The title is from Boys Will Be Boys-a must have cart if you have boys.

Tomorrowland-Disney layout

To infininity and beyond-it's Buzz Lightyear!  He nearly ended up in the trashcan! I found his millions of little pieces nearly impossible to put together, as the picture in the handbook was too small to see where all the parts went.  I persevered, and after 30 long minutes (yes, I'm not kidding and I think there might have been a bad word invoked a time or two), Buzz was finally assembled.  I can say I don't look forward to cutting him again!  But he looks good, so that's all that counts, right?

How does your garden grow? layout

The challenge this week at SOUS was to use a silhouette, which gave me another opportunity to break out my favorite cartridge, A Child's Year!  Love this cart and use it alot!  In addition to the beautiful silhouettes, there is a great font and lots of extra images that cover all the year's events.   I've got two pics of my flowers from last year on here already and I intend to take some pics of the flowers I added that will bloom this year.  The gardening silhouettes were perfect for my layout.

Hey, chicka card

I made a card with stuff from my new box of Stampin Up goodies, for the BBTB2 challenge this week to use bunnies or chickies on a project.  It's so fun when you have new supplies, don't you think?  Retail therapy-cheaper than actual therapy!  The stamps are from a My Pink Stamper set called Tweetie-Hoo Puns and the cute little chick hatching is from Simply Charmed.

Hakuna Matata-Disney layout

The Lion King show at Disney is THE best show in all four parks, in my opinion.  I got seeds of the idea for this layout from something I saw awhile back, so the lion on the cliff is not original to me.  I can't remember if I saw that idea on the cricut message board or on a blog somewhere, so if it rings a bell with someone, let me know and I'll give credit to the originator!   I cut my lion from Animal Kindom and just started tearing paper to make my cliff and setting sun.  I left a big journal box, because there is a big story to be written about us getting caught in a torrential rain before the show.

Luck of the Irish

Son#1 and Son#2 are performing in a concert on St. Patrick's Day for a local nursing home.   It was a good excuse to break out the Luck of the Irish cut and some shamrocks from Celebrate with a Flourish, right?   The awesome shamrock background paper is from the All Seasons 1 pack by The Paper Studio.   I know I'll take LOTS of pictures, so I managed to get 7 photo mats on there!  I'm going to link this to the My Pink Stamper blog hop this weekend, with the St. Patrick's Day think green theme.  The stamps are from the My Pink Stamper set called Music Speaks.
