Just Batty layout

Happy Monday!  It's very happy here in KC, since the Royals are going to the World Series again!  It's all anyone can talk about.  But since crafty things are the focus here, I'll talk about my layout instead.  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a bat on a project.  Breaking out my new Artistry cartridge again, I made a Halloween layout with flocks of bats (do they come in flocks?).  I knew I was going to use that circle cut with the bats in it as soon as I looked at the cartridge.  The print paper is from the CTMH Halloween paper pack from last year.  There are more bats on display over at BBTB2 from the design team, where you can link up your projects as well.

Bra-vo card

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is for breast cancer awareness-use a woman or a bra and the color pink.  Breast cancer awareness is especially meaningful to me this year, as someone in my extended family is in the diagnosis process right now.   My card is inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest for breast cancer awareness that used the "bra-vo" phrase.  I used the bra from the island girl on the Paperdoll Dress Up cartridge and the font is from the Artistry cartridge.  I hope you will check in over at BBTB2 to see what else the design team has created and link up a project of your own to support the survivors in your life.

Marching Band Parade layout

So with Son#2 in marching band this year, I have taken a lot of photos of him and the band marching at football games, in parades, and at competitions.  Seriously a lot.  Like maybe I'm one of those crazy band moms, LOL!  I'm starting to get some of them in the scrapbook, so I thought I'd share a layout I just finished.  These pictures are from a parade and I used Echo Park's A Fair to Remember collection for the bright colorful paper to get that parade feel.  The font and Polariod cuts are from the cricut Artistry cartridge and the stamp for the lines in the journaling box is from the CTMH Documenting Moments Everyday Life stamp set.

Fall layout

Happy Monday!  It's been a busy weekend at my house, with the homecoming dance for the high schoolers and a big extended family BBQ along with smores over the fire pit.  I love fall!  The BBTB2 theme this week is to use a turkey.   Perfect timing, sinceI have a number of shots of the kids eating gigantic turkey legs at the fall festival!  I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for Mr. Turkey and the cornucopia on my layout.  The gorgeous print paper is from the Carta Bella Fall Blessings collection.  I scrap lifted the basic layout design from this project I saw on pinterest, although I adapted it a bit to suit.  The rest of the design team over at BBTB2 have some great projects for you to check out as well!

Halloween layout

Happy Monday!  I'm recovering from a busy weekend of fall festivals, as Sons #1 and #2 were both performing at two different festivals with their bands.  I think I won't need to eat for a few days after eating fair food!  There is nothing like hot chocolate and funnel cakes on a crisp fall day.

It's October and Halloween is practically around the corner!  Our BBTB2 theme this week is Halloween and I have a spooky layout for you using the cricut Artbooking cartridge.  All the cuts are from Artbooking, including the frame with the fence which will be my journaling spot.  I'm especially fond of the spider dropping down from the corner web with some baker's twine for his web!  I cut everything on real dial size, since the sizing on Artbooking is designed for the pre-set layouts.  I hope you all have a wonderful fall week!
