Christmas layout (ornaments)

This layout has more of the ornaments from the CM Tis the Season cart.  My best friend and I scrapped last weekend and couldn't stop using this cart!  I think between the two of us we used half the cuts!

Noel card

The shepherd boy from Winter Frolic is the focus of this card.  I used my Big Kick to emboss the background to add some interest without taking away from the boy and title and inked the edges of the cuts with brown chalk ink to give it some depth.  The inside is stamped with one of my favorite SU Christmas stamps, from the City of David set.

Tis the Season layout

This layout uses the new CM Tis the Season cart, which I am absolutely loving, plus some old CM paper from my stash.  This cart has some great ornaments and words on it-I love this joy ornament!

Christmas tree card

I've got another Christmas card, using the tree from the SU Christmas Lodge stamp and the Frostwood Lodge paper from their holiday mini-catalog.  I've got to get on the stick and get some of these ready to go in the mail!

Embossed Christmas card

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We celebrated yesterday, as I had to work on Thanksgiving day.  Today is all about kicking back and eating leftover pie!  I made this Christmas card using my Big Kick to do the embossing, plus some Stampin'Up stamps and cardstock.

Here Kitty mini album (pic heavy)

This mini is for a Christmas gift for my sister-in-law, who is a huge cat lover and has two adorable new kittens.  I was having a hard time coming up with a gift idea, so I hope she likes this!  I used the Meow cartridge and the super cute We R MemoryKeepers Friends Furever paper I had left over from another project.  The mini is 5x7, so she can put 4x6 pics in easily, as she is not a scrapbooker.

So excited!

My Holiday recipe mini album made the Nov. 22 Cricut Chirp!!!!  How cool is that?  Since the fam was kind of giving me the "that's nice mom, but I'm hungry" deal when I told them, I had to share somewhere where there are papercrafters who would actually think it's cool :)

Pile of gifts Christmas card

This Christmas card is made with an SU stamp I borrowed from my best friend, and I can't remember the name of the set.  The paper is some retired SU paper that I also "borrowed".  (Is is called borrowing when you take your friend's paper-since they don't get it back?)  I put some diamond stickle on the bows of the presents, but it didn't really show up in the picture.  The big scallop is cut with a Sizzix die, which incidentally ,I also "borrowed".

Polar Bear thanks card

So I was trying to cut the awesomely cool polar bear on Joys of the Season (who always makes me think of that old coke commecial)  for a scrapbook page, only I cut it too small.  BUT, he was the perfect size for a card, so I changed paper and here he is!

I saw this morning that the Fantabulous Cricut challenge is to make a thank you card, so Mr. Polar Bear will fit nicely.

christmas layout

I was excited yesterday when the UPS man brought my box of goodies from Creative Memories, including my new Tis the Season cartridge!!!!  This layout uses a couple of images from it, along with Echo Park Merry Christmas paper.  It's going to be a great cartridge for the Christmas pictures-you will definitely being seeing more from it.

Snowman thanks card

This will be a thank you card after Christmas (don't look Mom!).  It was my first experiment using Flower Soft to look like snow.  Let me just say you should not sneeze on the flower soft when the lid is off.  Just sayin'.  Not that I did that or anything.

You Take the Cake card

I made a quick birthday card for a b-day party we are going to this weekend, using 3 Birds on Parade.  This cart is SO much fun!  I added some embossing with various folders, which added a lot, I think.

Hot Shot card

My nieces have their first basketball game tomorrow and I wanted to send them a card to wish them luck.  I had to get it in the mail today, so I needed quick inspiration.  3 Birds on Parade, my new cartridge that I can't stop playing with, has a basketball bird!!!!  Done!

Don't you just love the basketball shoes and knobby knees?  Or is it just me?

I'm linking this to the Cricut Creative Cutter Room Last Minute Challenge!  This definitely was a last minute job, although I was happy with how it turned out.  (Sometimes those last minute things don't go so well :( )

Tangled? (Christmas lights)

I just had to play some more with the 3 Birds on Parade, as I work on LAST year's Christmas pics.  This layout is for the pics of putting up the tree with the inevitable tangle of lights and cords that got put away a little hastily last January.  (I really needed a more angry looking bird for this...)  The bird and titles are from 3 Birds and the tree and ornaments are from Winter Frolic.

Thanksgiving Dinner

I've had this Thanksgiving page cut out for a few days and finally got time to put it together!  It is all from A Child's Year, which is my favorite cartridge.  I love the font and especially like all the cuts that can be used for journaling spots.  I try to include a spot to write in most of my layouts, so I can remember the details years down the road.  It didn't photograph very well-the red paper for the leaves/title is actually very shimmery and pretty.
