October 31st layout (for Exploring Cricut)

I have the pleasure of sharing a Halloween project today at Exploring Cricut!  I always take lots of pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes, so I've made a layout for those pictures.  My kids LOVE meeting up with friends to go trick or treating around our neighborhood!    My teens and preteen are more into the creepy side of Halloween now, so my layout uses the cartridge A Frightful Affair to make a scary scene for Halloween.  I used a lot of cuts and they are all from A Frightful Affair.

Ghastly Poisons Halloween layout (for BBTB2)

Halloween is almost here!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is trick or treat, selected by my awesome DT sister Jayne.  Now that my kids are bigger, I am finally able to make some creepy (as opposed to cute) Halloween layouts!

I used the A Frightful Affair cartridge to do this layout, featuring a mad scientist and witch cooking up some poison for their trick or treaters...(all the sugar from the Halloween candy is sort of like poison, lol!).   There are a few creepy mice and bats roaming around on this stormy night (it HAS to be a stormy night to make this poison, you see) to complete the scene.  And of course, we can't forget the awesome bubbling beakers of evil!  My print papers are from the Echo Park Apothecary Emporium collection from last year.

Spooktacular layout

I made this layout with my new A Frightful Affair cartridge (which I got with rewards points-yay!) for the Halloween orchestra concert, which the kids will be playing in costume.  It really could be for any Halloween event, however, minus the concert in the title of course.  I must say I absolutely LOVE the hunchback with the lantern and the gargoyle on this cartridge!  I just kept adding stuff and had to restrain myself from adding even more!  (You can never have too many bats, don't you think?-I may have to go back and add a couple more.)   I cut the tree with the ghosts in half, sort of, so it would be on both pages.  Paper is from last year's Apothecary Emporium line by Echo Park, plus lots of solid black, white, and gray card stock.

I'm linking this to the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week:  a Halloween project with black and orange.

I'm also going to link this to the night challenge at PauseDreamEnjoy.

I just found a cool new blog, cricutfanatics, and I'm going to link this to their challenge to do a Halloween project.
