Let's Shellabrate birthday card

Happy Monday!  It's been nothing but HOT summer days here in KC!  Hope you are staying cool somehow!  Here's a "punny" birthday card I made for my dad, which are my favorite kind.   And super simple.  Mr. Turtle is from the Walk in My Garden image collection, an old favorite of mine.

cute critters Here Kitty layout

Happy Monday!  I managed to get poison ivy (even around my eye!!!) while working in my yard last week....the steroids to treat it have left me unable to sleep.  But the silver lining is that I have been sorting and rearranging my craft area, which has needed to be done for a long time!  It's just so much more fun to craft than clean that I don't get around to it often enough!  I've realized I really have a lot of paper I'd forgotten about and am excited to be crafting in a more organized and tidy space.

Our BBTB2 challenge for the next two weeks is a cute critters theme.  We have taken a ridiculous amount of iPhone pictures of our crazy cat, so I knew my project would involve making a cat themed layout!  I used the Meow image collection for all the fun cat images and phrases.  Fortunately I had some cat themed background paper in the stash that I found during the cleaning process!!!   The rest of the design team has some very cute projects over at BBTB2 and you can link yours up as well.

thanks a bunch card

Happy Monday!  It's been a good week because my college kid is back home for the summer-it's good to have all the chicks back in the nest, lol!  Although he wasn't far away, I missed seeing him every day.  My high schoolers are finishing up finals, but still have school til the end of May to make up all the days missed due to snow and cold.  Needless to say, they are beyond ready to be done with school!!!!

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to showcase flowers-because after all, it's May and the flowers have started blooming!  I used the Walk in My Garden cartridge to make this super simple thank you card.  All the cuts, including the sentiment, are from the cartridge.  I liked the flowers against the woodgrain paper!  Hope you will scope out the projects at BBTB2 and play along and have a wonderful week!
