Halloween

Happy Monday!  We are heading into October in a day or two and the BBTB2 challenge for the next two weeks is a Halloween theme.  I am planning to send  Halloween cards with treats to my college students, so here are some cute little teddy bears all dressed for trick or treating.  I'll pop these in the mail with some yummy candy goodness.  Gotta have some chocolate in stock for late nights studying, right?  You can see the design team Halloween projects and link up your own new cricut project over at the BBTB2 site.  Have a wonderful week!

It's Labor Day-celebrating careers

Happy Labor Day Monday!  I hope some of you have gotten to enjoy a 3 day weekend!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to do a project highlighting Labor Day-either how you celebrate or featuring a career.   I made a card focusing on teachers.  With 3 kids in school, they are a big part of our life.  I used the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge to make my cute little teacher with his teddy bear Mac (the cuteness!) and argyle sweater.  I hope you will check out the projects over at BBTB2 and link one of your own!

You're EARresistible Easter card

Happy Monday!  It's spring break for my high schoolers, so we are having a very chill pajama day and just cozying up at home since it's rainy and cold.  I'm planning a little crafty time too!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is an Easter theme.  My Easter card below uses a square shaped card base from the Birthday Bash cartridge and the most adorable Easter bunny bear from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.  Who wouldn't want to go Easter egg hunting with him?  And I had the perfect stamp from the CTMH Animal Greetings set to go with him!  The rest of the design team has some cute Easter projects to share over at BBTB2 and you can link up a project there too this week.

Graduation layout (for BBTB2)

Anybody graduating this year?  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is graduation!  My 5th grader just graduated from elementary school so I made a layout for the pictures using the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge for the dapper looking graduate bear and Recess Lite for the diploma and cap.  The cute paper is all from my favorite paper company, Echo Park.  I added a little stamping and stickers from the paper pack and was very happy with how it all turned out!  My 5th grade dude looked almost as cool as the graduate bear at the ceremony-we were so proud of him!  I have to brag-he received the Presidential Academic Excellence Award for making straight As all through 5th grade!!!!  He definitely rocks!

Scary Party Halloween layout (for Exploring Cricut)

I have the fun of doing the daily project at Exploring Cricut today!  It's almost Halloween-have you been able to stay away from the Halloween candy?  I'll confess I've slipped a few times and found myself nibbling on contraband candy!!!

But on to my project:  I've been dying to use the cute little Halloween teddy bears on the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge, so I cut them out for my layout (for the elementary school fall party pictures of Son#3).  The title is from Create A Critter 2.  (The word party is actually part of another title, but I just added it onto my scary title!)  I added a few other cuts from CAC2 as well.  The bat background paper is from an old DCWV stack.

Grin and Bear It card (for the BBTB2)

Happy April Fool's Day!  I am planning to be happy and hoping to avoid the fool part.... we'll see how well that works out for me!  But on to the more interesting scrapbooking stuff- the challenge this week at the BBTB2 is to use the cricut teddy bear clown.

My clown bear is from the Teddy Bear Parade cart and I added the circus tent from Create A Critter to give him some atmosphere, as the striped background paper kind of gave me a circus vibe.  This circus needs to have pizzazz, like a good circus should, so I added some bling with orange stickle.  The teddy bear's little balloon dog is on the inside of the card, along with another sentiment, both from Mary of Cardz TV's bear stamp set.   So make somebody in your life smile with a funny clown card this week and join us!

Don't you just want to grin at the sentiment on my card?  (unless you are rolling your eyes like my spouse, lol)  It just went with my little teddy bear clown-I couldn't resist, as I love a good pun!  So have some fun with a clown and join us at the BBTB2 this week (remember, it must be new and cut with the cricut)!

Luck of the Irish (for Exploring Cricut)

It's the Luck of the Irish challenge at Exploring Cricut, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  The project challenge is to include a shamrock.  There was no mention of leprechauns, but I decided to include one of those too!  Or rather, a leprechaun teddy bear from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge, with his pot of gold!  My shamrock is from A Child's Year and the title is from Graphically Speaking.

I picked my title because I just feel lucky that life IS good most of the time-St. Patrick's day is just extra-lucky!  (Of course I'm sure it would all be even better with a pot of gold....what wouldn't?  Do you think Archiever's could work a deal for scrapbook supplies in exchange for gold if I won a leprechaun lottery?)  So come on over to Exploring Cricut and join us with a lucky shamrock this week!
