A few more Christmas layouts....

I hope you all had a merry Christmas!  We had much fun with all our extended family, sharing love and celebrating the birth of Jesus together.  We also tried really hard not to share the germs, as the flu unfortunately found my family the week before Christmas.   We'll see how well that went over the next few days....   But on to the layout.  (I'm finishing up last year's Christmas photos.)  The stocking full of gifts and journaling tag are from Winter Frolic.  Love the little candy cane on the tag!  The font is my favorite-the Mickey font.

Disney Christmas tags!

The big Christmas gift that will make everyone whoop and holler:  we are going to DisneyWorld in January!  Each of the kids is getting a Disney gift card so that they can buy some amazing souvenirs while they are there.   Did I mention the kids will be really excited?   I made some Disney Christmas tags to tie onto the gift card bags, just for fun!  All the  cuts are from Mickey and Friends except the santa hat, which is from Create A Critter 2.  The tag itself is cut at 5 inches, the Mickey head is cut at 3 1/2 inches, and the word Disney is cut at 1 1/2 inches.  I had to cut the Santa hat at 4 1/2 inches to make it be the right size for Mickey (since it's supposed to go on a critter :).

My husband is Mickey.

I'm Minnie, of course.

Teen #1 is Donald Duck.

And Kids #2 and #3 are Pluto and Goofy!

And one more photo, of the back of the tags, which I had forgotten to add:

I will write the trip details here for the kids.  The sentiment is from K Andrews designs.

Santa's Workshop layout

The elves have just finished loading up the sleigh for Santa and he's got a full load of toys to put under the trees!  Rudolph and the reindeer are ready and waiting....It's Christmas Eve!!!!!  I jazzed up Santa and his chief elf with some liquid pearl and stickles.  They are festive for Christmas!  And Rudolph's nose HAD to have a dot of red stickle, lol!

The fun Santa background papers are from Canvas Corp and I picked them up at Archievers.  The snow is American Crafts glitter paper that I hand cut.  I used the Winter Frolic cart for the title and North Pole sign.   The rest is mostly from Paper Doll Dress Up except for the teddy bear (who is from Everyday Paper Dolls) and the wreath and gift on the sleigh (from Create A Critter 2).

Joy to the World layout

December is always crammed with musical events from the orchestra and choirs the kids are involved in.  I made this layout for some of those pictures, using the Winter Frolic cart.  The title, journal box, and cool swirly borders are all Winter Frolic!  I LOVE the journal box with the music note cutout-isn't it cool?  The print music background paper is from the Making Memories Believe Christmas collection, which I found at Archievers.

Cricut:
Winter Frolic-title cut at 3 1/2 in., Journal box cut at 4 in., and borders cut at 1 1/4 inch.

Christmas Wishes layout

Ready for a gingerbread house?  This layout is mostly from Stretch Your Imagination, except for the title, which is from Winter Frolic.  I've had this cart forever and never cut the gingerbread man or his house before- soooo cute!  Now I did use ALL the possible layers and cuts for almost everything, which took a bit of thinking to sort out what colors each should be.  I'll list it out below if you're interested.  But I am very happy with how it all came out and now I want to go make some gingerbread with cool whip on top!

Cricut:

"Baby it's cold outside" layout

It's feeling kind of cold here today, although we did not get the predicted wintry mix of rain and snow.  I used my Teen Scene Paper Dolls and Graphically Speaking to make a cold weather layout though, as I'm sure we'll have some snow soon enough.  It was inspired by this fun word paper from the Bo Bunny Powder Mountain collection!  So my boy with the sled is from Teen Scene and the COLD word jumble and snowflakes are from Graphically Speaking.  The journal box is from Elegant Edges.

merry christmas with simply charmed

This layout uses some of the last of my CM Holidazzle paper that I've had for a LOOONG time and Simply Charmed for the title and Santa climbing into the chimney and candy.  I've never cut the Santa before and he is very cute!

Let's be Merry card

Santa bird has come out to play, from 3 Birds on Parade!  And doesn't he look jolly on his action wobble!  He can bounce around in the snow!  (I think Santa throws a snowball or two every now and then to keep the elves on their toes....)  The snowflakes are from the CM Cheerful Seasons cart, although I did not cut all the layers, since I just wanted white.   The printed papers are Echo Park, and the stamp set is from Ali Edwards.

Dear Santa layout

The SOUS blog challenge this week is to use a die cut gift on a project.  So since I'm working on last year's Christmas pics, I went with Christmas gifts.  I made a little scene of Santa leaving gifts under the tree and tiptoeing away, using the Winter Frolic cart for all the cuts, including the fun journaling tag.

holly Christmas card

I love holly and always make at least one Christmas card design that has a holly leaf on it.  So here is this year's holly, from the CM Cheerful Seasons cartridge.  The background paper is from Simple Stories (isn't is so awesome?) and the holly paper is from the Theresa Collins Christmas Cottage collection, using all the layers and shadow.  I added some twine from my stash and the inside sentiment is from SU.

"The Stockings were hung for You" layout

I am SO excited about this layout!!!!  I love how it turned out-I was going for a kind of vintage feel and I LOVE the woodgrain photo mats.   This Echo Park Christmas paper is the bomb!  The titles and cute little gift borders are from Winter Frolic, popped up with pop dots.  I used lots of brown chalk ink for the edges of everything.  My goal is to do more with the  borders and tags on this cartridge this year-they are really cute and I've kind of overlooked them.   I've got some great pictures of my kids getting into their stockings in their PJs on Christmas morning last year ready for this layout.

Party Time layout

It's a birthday layout, using only solid card stock.    I used the CM This and That cartridge for this one, except for the title, which I think is from the new CAC2 cart.  The rest of the font is one of the fonts on the CM cartridge.   I used scraps for all the cuts, which made me feel very thrifty!

Fa la la Christmas card

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We are celebrating today, as I had to work at the hospital yesterday.  The turkey is in the smoker now and my pies are baking!!!!

This gorgeous music paper was part of the Theresa Collins christmas paper that I got, which inspired my card.  I made it at our Christmas card making party.  The fa la las just started running through my head and wouldn't leave.  The hilarious part is that then a phrase from another Christmas carol also got stuck in my head, and none of us could remember which carol it was from until my friend arrived and looked it up on google!  I was SO relieved because otherwise it would have come to me in the middle of the night and woken me up.  My goofy brain is annoying like that!  On to the cricut info:  the fa la la and flakes are all from one cut on the  CM Tis the Season cartridge.  I'm going to link this to the CardzTV challenge "Speaking of Christmas".

Owl christmas cheer card

The little owl from Create A Critter 2 is the star of the Christmas card!  The Christmas ornament is also from CAC2.  Echo Park has a great collection called This & That Christmas and the plaid paper is from that line (I LOVE it!!!).  I always like to finish off the inside of a card as well as the outside, so there is a double mat with red and cream and a scrap of the plaid paper.  I also inked the edges of all the photo mats and the card edges with brown chalk ink because it really adds that little extra something.  The inside sentiment stamp is an older one from SU and the outside sentiment is from an Ali Edwards set.
