All Wet summer swim layout

 Happy Monday!  It's been a beautiful weekend in Kansas City and we have had family and friends in the pool every day.  I took so many pictures!!!  Since it is my turn to host at BBTB2 this week, I selected a Summer Swim theme so I can get started scrapping some of these pics.  I used the H2O cartridge for the layout below, because I love the cute little pool float!  The paper from Photo Play is bright and colorful, which will go with the colorful pictures!  Hope you will pop over to BBTB2 and see the awesome design team projects and you can link one up there too.

Sun and Fun layout and Surf's Up layout

Happy Monday!  It's a VERY happy Monday for me because I'm on vacation with the fam!  We are cruising the western Caribbean and I will be lounging on a deck chair hopefully holding a fruity drink with an umbrella when you read this!   I am very excited that I will not have to cook a single meal!!!!!  (With 3 teenage boys, you understand this is a big deal, lol!)  It's summer fun time and our BBTB2 challenge this week is water, so I've taken the opportunity to create two layouts for some of my cruise pictures.

Layout #1

This layout is for some pool or ocean pictures from the cruise, using the H2O and Life Is A Beach cartridges for all the pool toys and beach gear.  I added some of the waves from Life Is A Beach to the journaling spot.  I am looking forward to our day on the beach in Labadee the most, so I should have lots of pics for this layout for sure!

Layout #2

The kids are looking forward to trying out the surf simulator on the deck of our ship, so I used the Create A Friend cartridge for the title and wave.  The cute paper is from the Doodlebug Sunkissed collection.  The BBTB2 team has some ultra-cool projects to inspire you and we hope you'll link up a project for us to see!

Splash Zone layout (for Exploring Cricut)

It's a wide-open challenge at Exploring Cricut this week-all you have to do is use 2 cricut cuts on your project, so it can be any theme or occasion you want!  I'm sticking to summertime fun since I have lots of pool pictures to get in the scrapbook!  I used the H2O cartridge for the water toys and goggles.  The water droplets are from the CM Traveler cartridge.  And the big chunky font is from the Robotz cartridge.  (I don't cut the robots very often, but I love the font!!!!)  I wanted this layout to be bright and fun, so I used lots of color.  The print papers are from Echo Park.

Cool in the Pool layout (for BBTB2)

It's a Summertime Fun challenge at BBTB2 this week!  We've been enjoying some summer fun time in the pool, so I have a "Cool in the Pool" layout.  I used the H2O cartridge for the sun, beach ball, and sunscreen and the CM Traveler cartridge for the flip flops and sunglasses.  The font is from the Robotz cartridge-I wanted a big fun chunky font for this layout.  The supercool print papers are from the Echo Park Paradise Beach collection from last year-I thought the background paper resembled swirling water perfectly.

Relax and unwind layout (for BBTB2)

I'm all about some summer fun!  We are having an inspiration week (with no challenge) over at BBTB2, featuring summer fun.  I've made a layout for a few of my summer pool pictures.  The kids spend a LOT of time in our pool, so I always have lots of pool pictures.  I had so much fun creating my poolside scene, using the H2O and CM Traveler cartridges.  The great title and palm trees (fictional, since we don't have those here in the Midwest, but I can imagine...) are from the CM Traveler cart.  The mom and all the kids are from H2O.    The paper is leftover from an older Bo Bunny collection called Barefoot Bliss.

Wet and Wild layout

I just got the Paperdoll Teen Scene and have been dying to play with it!  I made a layout for waterpark pictures with one of the guy paperdolls and the waterslide from Carousel cut at fit to page (which turned out to be 10 inches).  The paper is Echo Park.

Buckets of Fun layout

I made this layout last night for the Exploring Cricut challenge this week:  Summer Fun is the theme, using at least 3 cricut cuts, 2 patterned papers, and an embellishement.  I used the H2O cartridge for the pail, ball, sprinkler, and sun.  The title font is my favorite-the Mickey Font!  The pics are from our elementary school Field Day, which heavily featured water games!  The kids spent most of the day wet, so I thought the stamp was perfect!   For my embellishment, I added some orange stickle to the sun and diamond glaze to the water on the sprinkler to make it look wet.

All Wet layout

The kids are so happy it's pool time all the time now that school is out!  Son#2 got to swim with all his classmates last month at the Community Center however, on a fun-filled field trip.  I took lots of pics of he and his friends splashing and jumping in the water!  I used the  H2O cartridge for all the cuts.  It did take a few tries to get the little kids cut out right, as the layer feature isn't consistent on this cart (some of the kids the fleshcolored layer is the main cut, other kids the fleshcolored layer is the shift) but I got it mostly figured out :)   I also  remembered that the words on H2O are best cut larger with a thicker paper (like the Bo Bunny double dot I used), as the letters are very thin and tear easily with thinner papers (don't ask if I remembered this BEFORE cutting with a thinner paper!).   I loved this water paper I found at Hobby Lobby for the background and it is also textured, although you can't see that in the photos.  The green print with the flippers is actually on the reverse side of it!
