Aquarium layout

Happy Monday!  It's been a very emotional weekend for me....we moved my youngest to college and are now officially empty nesters.  After 23 years of having kids living at home (and ALL the kids plus extras living at home during the pandemic), it's quite a change!

The challenge theme over at BBTB2 for the next two weeks is Under the Sea, and I found some pictures of a visit to the Aquarium in Chicago for the project.  I found the perfect background paper (which might be from Echo Park?) in my stash and found some great cuts on the Family Album image collection on Cricut Access.  I hope you'll be inspired by the design team projects over at BBTB2, where you can link up a project as well.

Family Album-all cuts
Paper-possibly Echo Park old collection, CTMH solids

  1. Wonderful aquarium layout & photos. One of my fav aquariums is in Denver, CO. Where is the aquarium you photographed & went to?

  2. Perfect layout. While it is hard those first few months of an empty nest, it does have some advantages like more crafting time.

  4. Yes, empty nest is hard, it still is even after all these years. Your layout is so fabulous. I love all the photos. The aquarium is close to us, but we don't see it very often.

  5. well one good thing about the pandemic is you had your kids home for a period of time that would not have happened otherwise! My son moved out (age 35) shortly after we moved, so we are loving the new freedom, it was time.

the layout is great - the bubbles make a good divider, never know how to use those. and the stingray is on point!!! haha

  6. Yup, paper is perfect for these photos. Empty nesters! We still have our daughter at home but she is basically M.I.A. most of the time. It is hard but best for our adult children. It gets quiet sometimes but you'll get used to it soon enough. LOL Love the layout! Dorlene DTmate
