Sunflower layout

Happy Monday!  It's an exciting one for me, as my husband and I are on a plane to London today!  Son#1 is going to be studying economics this year at Oxford University and we are going to get him moved into his dorm and do some sightseeing for a few days.  (The school year for the UK goes from October to the end of June, so he's doing his junior year of college at Oxford.)  The last time I was in the UK was almost 30 years ago.....so I'm really excited to be going back!  I didn't even own a camera when I was younger and have no photos or memorabilia from that long ago trip, so I'm planning on taking lots of pictures this time!

Moving on to crafty things, our BBTB2 challenge theme for the next weeks is to use crows, sunflowers, or scarecrows on a project.  I had some cute pictures of Son#2 and friends with sunflowers, so I got busy looking for sunflowers on cricut access.  I found these beautiful ones on the Flower Market cartridge, along with the other flower accents.  Then I went searching for a title with the word bloom and found the perfect one: "live life in full bloom"!  This was so fun to put together for the scrapbook and my son loved it!  Hope you will take a look at the design team projects and link up a project over at BBTB2!

Meet Me in St. Louis layout

Happy Tuesday!  My birthday was last weekend, so my present to myself was to spend some time being crafty!  It was a rainy weekend too, so being cozied up in my craft room was extra nice!  Among other projects, I scrapbooked some pictures of our trip to St. Louis in August, and I had fun browsing cricut access for St. Louis related things.  I printed a very cute "meet me in St. Louis" skyline from the Doodle City Skylines printables.  (There were ones available for lots of cities-will definitely be making some more of these!).   I also found a cute cut of the state of Missouri showing the Gateway Arch to finish off my pages.  I am getting ready to travel again next week, this time to London!  Much packing and planning has to happen this week.  Hope you all have a wonderful week full of sunshine and smiles!

layout for Grandparents challenge

Happy Monday!  Our BBTB2 challenge for the next two weeks is all about the grandparents, in honor of Grandparent's Day.  I have recent pictures to scrap of my niece and Son#2 getting some wonderful graduation gifts from their grandparents.    I searched cricut access and found the cut (below, on the left side) saying "my grandparents are the best" with the wreath and hearts, which seemed just exactly what I needed.  I used part of another cut on the same cricut access digital cartridge (World's Greatest Grandparents) for the "blessed".  I finished it off by making a journaling box with some stamping.

Cricut:
World's Greatest Grandparents (on cricut access)-title and wreath
Stamp-CTMH
Ink-Stampin Up Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green
Paper-Carts Bella background paper, CTMH solids

Get Outside for Labor Day- S'mores layout

Happy Labor Day Monday!  I hope you got to enjoy a long weekend with some fun and relaxation.  I unfortunately had to work at the hospital for part of it, but squeezed some good times in too!  My college crew came home for the weekend, so we had a full house of family.  The weather was cool and feeling more like fall, so we broke out the fire pit and made s'mores!  Nothing beats some yummy sticky marshmallow and chocolate goodness!

Our new challenge theme at BBTB2 is Get Outside, as we celebrate the Labor Day weekend.  Any outdoor activity fits the theme.  For my layout below, I used several cartridges available on cricut access to scrapbook our s’mores fun.  Miss Kate Cuttables The Great Outdoors gave me the s'more (doesn’t it look good enough to eat?) and the fire.  I used the CTMH You are Here for the marshmallow and stick and Kori Clark's Pine and Dandy for the title.   Now it's all ready for me to print my pictures!  The design team has projects you can see over at BBTB2 and this challenge will be open for two weeks for you to link up a project of your own.
