Graduation

Happy Monday!  I hope you are having a relaxing Memorial Day holiday!  It's that graduation season and our BBTB2 challenge this week is to make either a graduation or thank you card.  While I don't have any graduates this year, next year Son#1 will be a senior and I expect to need lots of cards as we will know many graduating seniors.  So this card is going in the stash!  I used Locker Talk for the graduation cap and Elegant Edges for the background mat.  The font is from Artistry.  My Swiss Dots embossing folder on the mat did not show up well in the photo, but gives some texture to the white mat in real life!  Hope you will check out all the fabulous cards at BBTB2 and use the linky for a project to share of your own.

towel challenge

Happy Monday!  School is out and the kids and I are planning to chill!  Because summer school PE starts next week….yikes!  But summer PE won't have things like Calculus homework, English essays,  and conjugating verbs in French and Spanish, so I think the stress level around here should be MUCH lower.  I must say I am greatly looking forward to summer, as it has been a difficult stressful year for the teens.

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is towels.  As I didn't seem to have much in the way of cricut towels to choose from among my cartridges, my project is a fun wedding shower card with matching his and her towels from the Sweethearts cartridge.  I jazzed it up with two different embossing folders for some texture and contrast.  We've got some cute projects to get you started over at BBTB2, so take a look!

Forest Hiking layout (tree challenge)

Happy Monday!  One more week of school….I am SO ready for the finals stress to be over for the teenagers!  They've been a little cranky and stressed out!  (Studying for pre-calc, french, and spanish finals will do that to a kid…)  We are all going to be celebrating Thursday night when school's out!

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a cricut tree on a project.  There is such a multitude of trees to choose from on many different cartridges that I was stuck on which tree to use.  I was making this layout for some hiking pictures, so I finally decided to use some of the cute animal cuts on the Give A Hoot cartridge and guess what?  It had trees too.  Problem solved!  Since Give A Hoot doesn't have a font, I went with one of the fonts on the Stork's Delivery cartridge for the title.  Hope you enjoy this hiking layout and take a look at the design team projects over at BBTB2!  The linky at BBTB2 will be open for you to show off a project too.

Camera layouts

Happy Monday!  I hope the moms out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!  After a very grueling work week, my husband cooked for all of us and my parents for lunch and smoked some amazing BBQ and made his fantastic home-made potato salad!  We finished it off with strawberry shortcake with the first spring strawberries from my sister's farm.  Getting to hang out with my mom and my boys made for a great day!!!!  There might have been a nap involved as well….LOL!

So our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a cricut camera on a project.  I have two projects, both using the camera from the Be Young cartridge.  I had some fun camera paper in the stash that was perfect for my Life in pictures layout below, for Son #2 and some of his friends.  For my OMG layout on the bottom, I went with bright happy paper, as it will have pics of my teens and their cousins goofing around.  There are so many fun cricut cameras to play around with, so have some fun and use the linky at BBTB2 to share your project with us!

Mother's Day card bouquet of flowers

Happy Monday!  I hope the sun is shining and your spirits are bright today as we start this new week.  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a flower bouquet or flowers in a vase for Mother's Day.  So stop reading right NOW, Mom!  I used the Artistry cartridge to make this cut of flowers in a Mason jar. I cut the word Mom very tiny and also added some pink skittles as blooms and some twine for texture to my cricut cut.  It all goes over this beautiful background paper I found in the stash.  You know all moms love something homemade for Mother's Day, so here's your opportunity to create something special and share it with all of us over at BBTB2 with the linky!  The design team has some fabulous projects to inspire you, so go check them out.
