Dreams flower layout

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!  I am finally recuperated after returning from the marathon trip to New York City last week and back to work as usual.   Our BBTB2 challenge is bulb flowers this week, so I used one of my favorite flower cuts from the CM Cheerful Seasons cartridge.  The title cut "dreams" and the word "laughter" in the journal spot are also both from Cheerful Seasons.  I thought the bunch of iris went well with the lovely background paper I have hoarded in the stash forever.  I took pics of my boys dressed up for Easter that will go on here.  The design team over at BBTB2 has some beautiful flower projects to inspire you and you can link up a project of your own this week!

Hippity Hop layout

Happy Monday!  I'm in the middle of a 24 hour bus ride back to Kansas City from New York today with 65 high school band kids, so my happiness is a quart low today…MUCH diet Coke (along with my noise canceling headphones!) the rescue   I'm kinda wishing Kansas City was about two or three states closer to New York, LOL!  Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight and seeing my hubby and other two boys.  But Son#2 and I have had much fun in New York City this week and I've taken many amazing pictures!

So our BBTB2 challenge is Spring Flings and Easter Things.  I'm looking forward to some Easter egg fun, as my teenage boys still get a kick out of dyeing eggs and having an egg hunt.  Last year we dyed about 3 dozen eggs!  My layout uses this great spring feeling paper from Doodlebug and all the cuts are from the Artistry cartridge.  I love the egg journal box on this cartridge!  The design team has some fresh spring and Easter things for you to see and you can link up a project over at BBTB2!

Wearing of the Green-St Pats Parade layout

Happy Monday!  We have a St. Patrick's Day theme at BBTB2 this week.  And guess what? It so happens that Son#2 and I are leaving for New York City tomorrow and will be marching with his high school band in the St. Patrick's Day Parade!  Seeing the sights in the Big Apple should blow our minds.  Toto, we're not in Kansas City anymore, to paraphrase Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz!  (For the record, most of Kansas City is actually in Missouri, not Kansas, so I can't quote Dorothy exactly.)

My layout for the parade pictures uses the adorable leprechauns from Simply Charmed and the clover border found on the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.  My title font is from CM Stork's Delivery and I did a little doodling on the letters.  This paper is from a super-old DCWV pad in the stash, but was perfect for St. Patrick's Day!  Go see what kind of magic the design team over at BBTB2 have put together and I hope you have some fun, wear some green, and have a very lucky week!

3D treat container from Artiste

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to make a 3D project.  I don't typically make many 3D items since between 3 teenage boys and a crazy cat, paper decorative items have a ridiculously short life around here before disaster strikes!  But I made a cute little treat container from the Artiste cartridge that was super quick to put together.  Like…. I whipped out the whole thing (including stamping some decorations in about 15 minutes!  Go me!  My treat container was for chocolate Hershey kisses, so I stamped a few decorations from the CTMH A Chocolate Affair stamp set.  Because chocolate really DOES understand.  And makes almost any problem seem a tiny bit better while it melts in your mouth.  See what else the design team has come up with for 3D goodness over at BBTB2 and link up your 3D project this week!
