This Is How We Roll layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a bicycle cut on a project.  We've been doing some fun bike rides as a family now that the weather is warmer and I had the perfect snapshots to make a biking layout!  We did a ride in downtown KC earlier this month, where there is a great trail along the Missouri River.  It's really cool because the Downtown Airport is directly across the river, so you see planes landing, cargo freighters on the river, cars in the city, plus train tracks run parallel to the river so you also see and hear the trains go by-sort of a transportation extravaganza!  I used the CM Traveler cartridge for all my cuts-it has a lot of transportation related images, along with it's vacation theme.  The awesome cityscape background paper is from Echo Park.  Then head over to BBTB2 to see how all the other designers roll with their projects!

It's a Spring Thing! layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  It's back to real life after my cruise, so there is going to have to be A LOT of diet Coke flowing today to keep me chipper.  On the bright side, I now have lots of fun tropical pictures to scrap, as my hubby and I had a fabulous time with many adventures, including rock climbing, riding the surf simulator, seeing Mayan ruins, cave tubing, zip lining, and just plain ol' hanging out in some deck chairs watching the ocean go by!  We kept so busy I didn't even put on any extra pounds, which is saying something after eating the fantastic cruise ship dining room food.

This is what I'm talking about….deck chair bliss!

Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to use a sun and cloud, so I have a happy spring layout to share, using a couple of cartridges.  The sun, cloud, butterflies, grass, and flowers are from Create A Critter.  The cute little dog, plane, caterpillar, and kite are from Boys will Be Boys.  The font is from the CM Stork's Delivery cartridge.  I LOVE this fun springy paper from Doodlebug-it makes me feel happy and spring-like just looking at it!  Take a look at our sunny projects over at BBTB2 for some inspiration for this week's challenge!

Rainy Day layout (for BBTB2)

Happy Monday!  My day is VERY happy because it is my 19th wedding anniversary today and my hubby and I are lounging on the deck of a cruise ship (probably drinking something featuring an umbrella).  Without the kids!!!!!  Who are home getting spoiled by Grandma's cooking and Papa's coffee so we can escape for a few days of tropical bliss.  But before you get too jealous, LOL, I'll switch over to crafty matters.

Our BBTB2 challenge is Rainy Days:  umbrellas, rain boots, etc.  I used the Create A Friend cartridge for my layout for some pictures of a rainy day touring Epcot a few years ago.  My title and cute kiddo are both from this cartridge.  I have some funny journaling to add about us being caught in the rain and the sudden appearance of a million clear plastic Disney ponchos, so I made sure to put space to write.  I loved this raindrop background paper from the Doodlebug Spring Time collection.

Flower thank you card (for BBTB2) plus a bonus Disney layout

Happy Monday!  I get to host the BBTB2 challenge this week and I selected flowers, since the tulips, iris, and daffodils are blooming here in KC.  There are so many cricut flowers to choose from that this should be lots of fun-check the BBTB2 sidebar for the rules!  I actually have two projects with flowers to share today, with this springy flower card being the first.  My happy little flower is from one of my favorite cartridges, Doodlecharms. I embossed the leaves with the Swiss dots embossing folder to add a little texture.   I was inspired by this fun Doodlebug flower filled paper!  The design team over at BBTB2 has a whole bunch of flowers for you to look at for inspiration and we'd love to have you link up a project this week!
