I've always wanted to try making a holiday recipe book, so this is my first attempt. I mainly used the From My Kitchen cartridge, with a few cuts from other carts thrown in. The paper is last years Echo Park Christmas collection. This is the first time I've really used many of the cuts on From My Kitchen and they are really cute! I made several pages for cookie recipes, since there are so many wonderful ones out there for Christmas treats. (I'm hungry now!)

The white inserts to write the recipe on are 3x5, so an index card could replace the inserts if you want lines on the recipe cards. The recipe pages with pockets are 4x6 3/4 in. The cover page is slightly bigger. I cut the title words for each recipe page at 3/4 in. The strip to make the pocket is 2x6 3/4 in. Most of the cuts to decorate the pocket are cut at 2 in., except for a few at 2 1/2 inches.
I'm going to put this into the Fantabulous cricut challenge this week, which has a book theme.

More Lunchbox mini cards
My best friend's elementary school is having a craft fair, so we are making some cards to possibly sell. My kids have LOVED the lunchbox cards (3x3) I made for them, so I thought I'd make a few for the fair. My boys consulted on what I should make from Boys Will Be Boys. Here is the first batch-seems like sort of a transportation theme going on. I'm doing a sports batch next, and will put those up for another day.

treats (Halloween)
This is the last Halloween post for this year, I promise! I had too many trick or treat pics and had to make one more layout. The candy all has to be sorted so anything with nuts will go away to Dad's work. Of course, some sampling of candy just seems to happen during the sorting process, so the treats title from Happy Haunting was perfect.
The BBTB2 challenge this week was to use the ghost from Paper Doll DressUp, so a spooky ghost worked its way onto the layout. Who could resist this cute ghost begging for candy? And then I saw the cat and vulture in the handbook, and it all came together! I love it when that happens.

Big Hugs card
One of my sons has chosen a sock monkey theme for his birthday party. I designed this for the thank you card (had to be simple enough to make a bunch easily). Apparently sock monkeys have made a comeback when I wasn't looking, because I was even able to find sock monkey plates, cups, and gift wrap!

delicious Autumn
We spent part of last Saturday's beautiful weather hiking in one of our local parks, which has a trail and old time village. We had fun goofing around taking pictures, which I scrapped using the CM Cheerful Seasons cartridge. I'd been waiting for some good pics to use with the beautiful fall cuts on this cart.
Cricut:
CM Cheerful Seasons-all cuts except bird flying
A Child's Year-bird flying
Paper-assorted CM cardstock
brown chalk ink
I'm going to link this to the Clean and Scentsible anything goes Tuesday Creative Spark. Lots of fun projects there to look at.
I'm also going to link it to the Celebrate the Occasion challenge to use a pumpkin in a fall themed project.

Christmas with a Bell
Christmas cards-can't have enough! This card uses the Stampin Up Holly Berry Bouquet paper and the little jingle bell from their mini catalog. Not too complicated EXCEPT for trying to get the twine tied through the bell!!!! Maybe I need bifocals. However, I persevered, and was happy with how it came out.
Paper-SU Holly Berry Bouquet, white cardstock
Ribbon-SU real red
SU scallop punch, real red button, twine, and jingle bell
The Cuttlebug Challenge blog has reopened and has an "anything goes" challenge, embossing not required! I've linked this project to the cards there.
