R is for Rabbit layout

It's leap day!  So our BBTB2 challenge this week is to have something leaping on a project!  Because, how can you resist?  In anticipation of Easter pictures, my imagination immediately went to rabbits leaping.  My R is for Rabbit layout uses both Nate and Kate's ABCs for the cute bunnies and title.  Mr. Rabbit is leaping through the grass. (in search of Easter chocolate, no doubt).  And sweet Ms. Rabbit is chasing dragonflies while smelling the flowers.  My layout is full of springy color and goodness, because I am SO ready for some spring!  Go check out the design team ideas for leaping over at BBTB2 and link up a project of your own.

Cricut:
Nate's ABCs-title, leaping rabbit
Kate's ABCs-rabbit in the flowers
Paper/stickers-Doodlebug Springtime collection prints, CTMH solids
brown chalk ink for edging

Hola layout

Happy Monday!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is a Fiesta theme to celebrate National Margarita Day.  I must confess I am a bit surprised that National Margarita Day is in February, but perhaps tossing back a few margaritas is the answer to the winter blahs.  As there are sadly no fiestas or margaritas in my immediate future, I dug down into the "to be scrapped" pile for these pictures from Cozumel last summer, since Cozumel is basically one giant fiesta (especially after going to SeƱor Frog's!).  I used the Ole cartridge for all my cricut cuts, including the supercool banner and font (you can see it all better if you click on the picture for a close-up).  I hope you will consider joining us with a project and please go see all the fun over at BBTB2 from my fellow designers!

Be Mine card

Happy Monday!  I hope you had a happy Valentine Day yesterday but today is the real holiday in my book because the Valentine candy left over in the stores is on sale!!!!  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is to celebrate National Gumdrop Day by using some kind of candy on a project.  I'm going to have to confess I am REALLY not fond of gumdrops…so I picked my favorite kind of candy instead-those candy valentine hearts with the sayings.  I am a total sucker for those things.  We can't even keep them in the house because I will eat the whole bag.  In one sitting.   My candy card below uses the candy hearts and title from the Simply Charmed cartridge.   I hope you will make some kind of sweet candy-licious project and share it with us over at BBTB2 and do go take a look at the design team's yummy creations!

Cricut:
Simply Charmed-candy hearts, be mine sentiment
Paper-American Crafts valentine 6x6 print paper, CTMH solids
brown chalk ink for edges, Memento Tuxedo Black for sentiment
Stamps-CTMH Doodled Designs and CTMH Sweeter with You sets for inner sentiment

Valentine heart Love U Sweetheart card

Happy Monday!  It's Valentine's Day next weekend-are you ready?  I need to STOP eating the Hershey's kisses and chocolate hearts….the chances of any being left by Valentine's Day is going to be pretty slim.  Our BBTB2 challenge this week is most appropriate-use a heart on a project!  My card uses the Lyrical Letters cartridge for all the cuts.  (Lyrical Letters has more than just fonts!)  This paper was a bit of leftovers from a few years ago, but I hoarded the last bits for just the right project and this was it!  Hope you will check out all the cute Valentine projects over at BBTB2 and link up one with us this week as you make that special Valentine for someone!

Ice Cream projects

Happy Monday!  Did you know it's National Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast day?  I fully support this holiday-in fact I could probably support it every day!  It needs more publicity.  I'm pretty sure it's not on the Weight Watchers plan though….unfortunately.  Our BBTB2 challenge this week, as you might have guessed, is to use an ice cream cut.  I have a few ice cream projects…..although not a full 31 flavors worth, LOL!  Check out the delicious projects from the design team over at BBTB2 and link up a project of your own!

Project #1

This layout was for some fun ice cream pictures on our cruise this summer, using Simply Charmed for the title, ice cream cone, and popsicle and Elegant Edges for the scalloped journal box.

Cricut:
Simply Charmed-title, ice cream cone, popsicle
Elegant Edges-jounal box
Paper/Stickers-Echo Park prints, CTMH solids
brown chalk ink
Project #2

close up of my ice cream float

This layout  uses the Suburbia cartridge for all the cuts, including the font.  My picture came out a little dark-it's easier to see the font in better lighting (it's a really pretty cursive).  I LOVE the jukebox cut!  My husband and I are big fans of root beer floats and I thought the ice cream cut looked like a float.

Cricut:
Suburbia-all cuts
Paper-Echo Park bg paper, Catrta Bella ice cream print, CTMH solids
brown chalk ink, white gel pen

Project #3

This is scrap lifted from this card I saw on Pintererest.  I used Birthday Bash to cut the ice cream sundae and some Diamond Glaze on the orange layer and stickle to make it look super yummy.

Cricut:
Birthday Bash-sundae
Paper-stripe is TLC, CTMH solids
stamp-Stampin Up
stickle, diamond glaze, brown chalk ink for edging, Stampin Up Peach Parfait ink for sentiment
Stampin Up scallop border punch
