Wahoo! layout

The paper doll cartridges (Paperdoll Dress Up and Paperdoll Teen Scene) helped me make this layout for the last pics from our trip to the 1800s themed fall festival.  I cut the Teen Scene boy cowboy and Indian, imagining them getting together to listen to music or trade in the 1800s town square.  (Son#1 was performing in the square on his fiddle.)  The teepee is from Paperdoll Dress Up and the guitar and title are from Old West.  The stamps on the journal box are from a set I won at PauseDreamEnjoy Challenges!  It is called Buffalo Spring, by Mark's Finest Papers.  I was so excited when I opened the package-thanks Janis!-because I had a project for them right away :)

Halloween Party

Making a layout for the elementary school Halloween party was a snap, with my new Create A Critter 2 cartridge.  I put lots of stickled candy goodness on there too!!!  (I have held off buying any Halloween candy yet, because then I eat it BEFORE the trick or treaters ever see it, so it's as close as I'm going to get to any candy until next week!  And then all the candy must go away to rehab-hubby's work-so that I am "cured" of my addiction.  Until the chocolate bunnies come out at Easter.)  All the cuts on this layout are from CAC2 and the adorable background paper is Doodlebug.

Spooktacular layout

I made this layout with my new A Frightful Affair cartridge (which I got with rewards points-yay!) for the Halloween orchestra concert, which the kids will be playing in costume.  It really could be for any Halloween event, however, minus the concert in the title of course.  I must say I absolutely LOVE the hunchback with the lantern and the gargoyle on this cartridge!  I just kept adding stuff and had to restrain myself from adding even more!  (You can never have too many bats, don't you think?-I may have to go back and add a couple more.)   I cut the tree with the ghosts in half, sort of, so it would be on both pages.  Paper is from last year's Apothecary Emporium line by Echo Park, plus lots of solid black, white, and gray card stock.

Country Life layout

The Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week is "Down on the Farm" and I had some pictures that fit the theme, so I decided to play along.  We were recently at a fall festival where Son#1 was one of the musicians.  The festival is held at a park re-creation of an 1885 town.  There were barns and animals, of course, along with homesteads, saloon, blacksmith shop, etc.  I used the County Fair cartridge for most of the layout, except for the Good Times title, which is the Old West Flourish font.

Halloween treat bags

I decorated these cute little kraft treat bags that I found in the dollar bin at Target for the elementary school Halloween party, using my favorite new cartridge, Create a Critter 2.  It has so many Halloween images!  So for my bags, I cut the cricut image for each bag at 3 1/2 inches and stamped a Halloween saying from my Spook-licious My Pink Stamper set.   I'm going to fill the bags with some candy goodness (just what a bunch of fourth graders need-sugar :0!)

Have Your Cake and Eat It Too! layout

Here is another birthday layout, using the Sweet Treats cartridge.  Both the title and ice cream sundae are cut from Sweet Treats, and I added some diamond glaze to the ice cream scoops and cherry to make  them look extra delicious!  (I will confess that it made me do a little midnight noshing in the deep freeze for some ice cream when I was finished...)  You can see the diamond glaze better in the close up pic, but I thought it added a lot!

Fall Festival layout

Son#1 performed at a local Fall Festival, so I made this fall layout for some of the pics.  I'd found this gorgeous fall paper by Reminisce that along with the BBTB2 challenge of the week, sort of inspired the layout.  I used the CM Cheerful Seasons cartridge for the pumpkins, basket of apples, and leaves and the title font is from the Baby Steps cartridge.  The BBTB2 challenge this week was to use "happy non-Halloween pumpkins", and I love these pretty pumpkins from Cheerful Seasons.  Wish the ones on my front porch were that pretty!  The festival, by the way, was in an old time town from 1885, in case you are wondering why there are Civil War soldiers and log cabins in the pics.

Make a wish birthday layout

OK, I'm on a roll with my new cartridge!  This birthday layout uses Create a Critter 2 for all the cuts-I am LOVING this cartridge!  Paper is an old pack from Creative Memories that has been sitting in my stash for awhile.

Fabulous Fall layout

Today I am the guest designer over at Die Cuttin' Divas!  The challenge is to  make a fall project using a die cut and your three favorite fall colors.  I paired the basket with leaves from my beloved Doodlecharms with the super cute bird from 3 Birds on Parade playing in the leaves!  I used red, yellow, and green for my 3 colors (those are the colors on the trees outside my window) and brown for a neutral.  I added some brads and inking to the basket for fun!  And the fun journal box is actually the card cut on Doodlecharms, with a little twine added!  All the cuts on the Doodlecharms cart have a card feature with the image cut out.

BOO layout

I just couldn't wait to cut out some of the cute Halloween critters on CAC2!!!!!  It has a whole bunch of great Halloween cuts!  So I've got your basic haunted house, cemetery, and black cat going on for my little pirate ghost and vampire bee trick or treaters, who are floating through the neighborhood waiting to say BOO!  The printed paper is from the Doodlebug Seasons collection I got last year.  I plan to use this for either trick or treat pics or pics from the school Halloween parties.

I'm going to link this to the My Craft Spot Halloween challenge this week:  Boo to You and the SOUS die cut challenge "creepy crawly".  While I think my lil' vampire bee and ghost are more cute than creepy, my sons assure me that vampire bees are definitely creepy, even when they smile.

Fall layout

Enabling ALERT:  You need to RUN right out and get the Create a Critter 2 cartridge!  It is so darn cute!  I can't stop playing with it since it came in the mail last week.  The leaves are turning here, and after the hot dry summer, it's so amazing to feel the crisp fall air and see some color-it's fun to make a fall layout!  This layout is mostly from CAC 2, except for the leaves and scallop shape for the journal box, which are from A Child's Year.

Cricut:

Paper-print papers are Doodlebug, brown CM card stock, chamois color CTMH card stock, scraps from the stash for the rest
